Communication
So ladies...here it is the first of hopefully many conversations we will have. I hope this will be a place of encouragement, authenticity, safety, community and love for our house group girls:). A place that we can talk about our struggles, victories, questions, answers etc. A place that will bless God's heart and a place that will be an active experience of His desire for His daughters.

Hey everyone, it's Andi here. I'm doing well, I'm studying like a mad woman b/c my dad's coming to town tomorrow (from Florida) and I want to get all my homework done before he's here. I'm bringing him to church Sunday actually. Anyway, I've been praying for everyone and I hope everyone is doing great. I need some prayer this week. I've been praying, and reading my Bible, but these past two weeks I've felt alone. I usually always feel God's presence when I'm engulfed in His word or in prayer, but lately it's been silent. It's made me feel sad, and sort of alone. Anyway, if you guys could just say a quick prayer for me I'd be grateful :)
How's everyone else doing? Is there any other prayer request besides good communication (and stuff I remember from the last meeting)? By the way Aiyana, LOVE the "Ragl" title. I pronounce it like 'raggle', which reminds me of Fraggle Rock :)
Hello all! I'm excited to see what God has planned as we journey together. I can relate to the feelings of being alone, but Andi, know God loves being with you and desires your time. Don't be discouraged! I will be praying!
I've been noticing the past month or so that everything is harder. Getting up in the morning and actually being productive seems difficult, being with people seems difficult and going anywhere christians are actually purposing to be in community I have to talk myself into.
I feel like I'm watching the enemy drive wedges between God's people. I know God has not given me a spirit of "hermit," if you know what I mean. So, here's to being intentional!:)
Hi, Ladies!
I want you to know first and foremost that y'all have been on my heart since we last met! I hear and understand where both andi and lois are coming from and can identify with both of you in the past and recently. I feel like God has placed each of us in this group for different, individual reasons, but also for the collective reason that we all need the support of other Christian women in our lives... and I'm so excited to watch our roles unfold as God reveals himself through us to each other. Andi and Lois, I will pray for you two specifically based on what you've shared!
That said, I'm going to be out of touch for a few days and miss Monday night's get together...
My grandmother died late Tuesday night. This was the third death in my family in three weeks, so I am going to be with my family for a while. I am so blessed that Bob and I have the flexibility in our lives right now to be able to go away together and heal with my parents. I ask for prayers for peace in my family (long story) as well as a time of rest and healing. We are all weary physically, mentally, and emotionally!
I hope everyone is hanging in there...
Let me know what I miss Monday night so I know how to pray for you guys!

Oh Gina, I'm so sorry for your loss! And to have three deaths in a row must be so hard on you. Thanks for your words of encouragement, and I agree with you that we'll all be getting something from these get- togethers, and that we'll be able to give to each other as well, for the glory of God and for the strength of community. I know I've been praying for more Christian friends, couples and ladies :) I think this is going to be wonderful for all of us.
But back to you Gina, I will be praying for you and your family. I lost my grandma last year, I was there when she passed. It was so sad, but kind of beautiful that I could be there. It's so important to have family with you and to lean on each other. Getting some much need tears, rest, and even some laughter can help the heart heal. Take care, and I hope to see you soon. You're in my heart :)

sorry it has taken me awhile to chime in. i am new to the world of blogging. needless to say, i am not very good at it.
i wanted to check in and see how you, aiyana, were feeling. i am looking forward getting together on the 1st.
drew and i are taking off to costa rica this week to spend thanksgiving with my sister and her family who moved there. prayers for safety and good intentional family time would be appreciated. also, drew's company is announcing layoffs on december 1so we are covering that in prayer as well and would love you to join us.
thoughts are with you gina, losing a loved one is so tough to process.

okay so i thought i signed up as a follower or that i would automatically get emails when someone posted because i started it BUT that wasn't the case and i FEEL HORRIBLE and am so bummed i haven't checked in sooner!!!!!
ANYHOO.... we had a really great idea this monday (tonight)- we are each in charge of picking a scripture, or scripture passage for the group- the scriptures are for us to hang around our houses where we can read them and be refocused, encouraged, edified etc.!
........so each of us will pick a scripture then print out 7 copies to give to one another...i hope i explained that well....AND it can be our christmas presents for eachother (thank you andi for that idea!) let me know if you need any further explanation!
sooo Gina!! i will totally be praying for you and am so sorry for your losses and am missing you! but i am so glad you get to be with your family during this time and have bob with you:)
and i missed you rachel, gina, lois and april this week!!!!! and hope we will all be able to be together again soon and am so sorry i was sick that other week:(

We are back and a bit more rested. Thanks for your understanding of us not being there. I LOVE the scripture idea. I just want to be sure I get it. On Monday December 15th, I will bring 7 copies of a verse I choose, is that right? Then I will get 7 different Bible verses to post around my home? Just want to know when to have them ready :)
