the power of God

so ladies!
we had an idea this last monday that is amazazazing and you have to make sure you check it out! it is on the last "communication" post! let me know you thoughts so i know we are all on board with it!

as for this posts subject...i thought we could share any thoughts-experiences-scripture-promises etc regarding THE POWER OF GOD.

for me there are many thoughts and ideas that immediately come to mind and i know much more would come the more thought i put into it.....but for know i will share what come to mind right now-
1. God's defeating of the power of death through Jesus' Resurrection

2. what is available to us as seen in 2 Peter 1:2-4:
"Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine POWER has granted us EVERYTHING pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust."

this is so mind boggling to me! what do you guys think about this and what other thoughts do you have on the power of God?

Ladies!
I have missed y'all and appreciate your prayers...
Know that you have all been in my thoughts and prayers since I saw you last!

Bob and I are so excited to come tonight and be with all who can make it, but if anyone checks this today, please pray that we are able! We have a kitten who had surgery a couple of months ago and he is sick again! Bob is at the animal hospital with him. A) I want him to be well so that B) we can leave him home alone tonight safely, and C) so that I don't have to spend the thousands of dollars that pet surgery costs (as i found out last time).

I know it's silly, but until God decides it's time to have human children, my two cats are my kids!

I hope to see you all tonight!!!

Girls,

I am so thankful - thankful for each of you and our Monday nights together. What an incredible time to grow together, struggle together, pray and live life together. Thanks for opening your home Taylors. The verses shared last night are hanging all around my home and I am reminded of each of you and God's promises. AMEN!

Merry Christmas to ALL :)

Ladies,

The kitty is ok, but it was a rough few days. Apparently he ate some plastic and a string that was two feet long. I'll spare you the details... and thanks for the prayers :)

Bob and I were sad and blue for missing ANOTHER monday night and hope that we can still be a part of the group! We are so sorry that life has thrown us a few curve balls and gotten in the way of a gathering that we love and very much want to be a part of! We have felt super attacked lately, and have been humbled that until we truly hand EVERYTHING over to God, we will struggle while doing things according to our plan, our way. Sometimes it is hard to submit when you have an entrepreneurial spirit...

I'm totally rambling...

But in the face if difficulties, God has truly been so good to us and we are so blessed.

That said, we leave on the 26th for our honeymoon and won't be back until January 9th... So unless I see you this Sunday night at Wicker Park, I wish you all a very merry Christmas, the happiest new year, and I can't wait to reconnect in '09!

You will all be in my thoughts, prayers, and new journal, which is my renewed time daily with God :)

XO,
Gina

(ps aiyana, i am missing you, too! i have something for you. if i don't see you Sunday night, i will send it with your hubby.)

I didn't know where to put this, so I hope someone reads it and can help. I keep seeing on Grant's facebook page that Lois is in the hospital but there's no explanation why. Does anyone know what's going on w/ her and if there's anything we can do to help?
